Typical values dry rice per 100 g:
- Energy 1506 kJ/355 kcal
- Fat 0,47g (of which saturates 0,1 g)
- Carbohydrate 78 g (of which Sugars 0,0 g)
- Protein 8,8 g
- Salt 0,03 g
Take 60 g of basmati rice per person and soak for minimum 30 mins for the best result. Take water equal to 1,5 – 2 times the rice quantity and add the soaked rice to it. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook on medium heat for 10 – 12 mins. Drain well, cover and let stand for 3 – 5 mins. Slightly fork through the cooked rice and the finest basmati rice is now ready to serve.
