Thai Jasmine Rice is a variety of high quality rice which is traditionally from the Indian and Pakistan subcontinent. Frequently served alongside various curries, braised or roasted meats, or as the main ingredient in classic biryani, jasmine rice is sometimes served plain but often flavored with turmeric or saffron, both of which impart a characteristic yellow hue.

Rinse rice with lukewarm water and let it drip off. Place the rice in a pot and add cold water in the ration of 1:1,5. Add salt if necessary. Cover the pot with a lid and cook at low temperature for 10 – 12 minutes. Remove the pot from the cooker and wait another 10 minutes.
